Dedicated non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to empowering children with disabilities. Founded with the belief that every child deserves equal opportunities, we strive to ensure that children with special needs receive the care, education, and support they deserve. Our mission is to create an inclusive society where each child can thrive, regardless of their physical or mental challenges.
By providing specialized care, therapy, and educational resources, we aim to break down barriers and build a brighter future for every child we serve.
The history of Swastha Samaj Nepal dates back to the 8th of Ashwin, 2072 B.S. (Nepali calendar), when it was registered under number 303/071/072 in the District Administration Office, Kathmandu. It was also registered with the Taxpayer Service Office, Chabahil, under the Permanent Account Number 602603911 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council under affiliation number 40365. Additionally, the organization was registered with Gokarneshwor Municipality under registration number 149/073/074. This is how the organization was formally inaugurated.
Swastha Samaj Nepal was established under the coordination of guardians and protectors (with founder Sita Shrestha) after experiencing the hardships and difficulties faced by individuals and families of those with intellectual disabilities. The organization aims to provide education, health services, and skill-based activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, the helpless, impoverished youth, and the elderly. It also offers residential services with the objective of helping them become self-reliant physically, mentally, socially, and economically. Additionally, the organization works to improve their economic status, reintegrate them into the community, raise awareness about the rights of people with disabilities, and motivate individuals with intellectual disabilities and their guardians through various vocational training programs.
